Link & Integrations
Links to external booking channels
External booking channels such as Booking.com, HomeAway, SiteMinder, Bookit and BungalowSpecials have become indispensable in today’s hospitality market. The power of a central booking system lies in the convenience it offers in disclosing content in all channels. Maxxton provides links to the best known channels, and its integration team continually develops new links. As a result, the possible failure of a channel goes unnoticed. Maxxton will gladly construct this specific integration for you.
Automated links ensure that data is sent (pushed) or collected (pulled) via so-called APIs. An API allows different applications and programs to communicate with each other by means of a common protocol. We offer an API with which partners can ‘talk’, something that often occurs in two stages. Firstly, prices and availability are collected at fixed times, for example at night. Bookings are then processed in real-time as soon as they are made and automatically registered in the appropriate distribution channel in Maxxton in accordance with what has been agreed.
Major partners such as Booking.com and SiteMinder work with the push method. For integrations such as these we adapt the system to provide reliable communication with the systems used by the partner(s). In these situations, we distribute prices and availability and we receive information about new bookings, which we then process in Maxxton. The required connectivity can be established in two ways: with a direct link between you and the partner or through a channel manager, which is an intermediate party between you and the partner or, to be more precise, between you and a number of partners.
